When did you join ASM?
August 2023.
Tell us about your experience, lived and/or working?
My background is in individual and organisational change, initially working in the public sector for the National Crime Squad and subsequently in a large corporate, responsible for leadership and management development. I have worked as a coach/mentor for a number of years, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in achieving a wide range of goals and have first-hand experience of supporting individuals with autism and ADHD. Previously, I ran a local charity supporting families of autistic children, providing inclusive social activities and advocacy support to parents. I recently completed an MSc in Psychology which helped consolidate the practice and the theory. In addition to my work with AS Mentoring, I support young people in a specialist secondary school.
What do you value most about your work?
The sheer breadth and talent of the clients I have the privilege to work with. Helping clients explore their strengths and collaborating to develop strategies for success.
What are your areas of interest or expertise?
Interests are wide and variable! I’m fortunate that my role allows me to continuously learn and evolve as a practitioner.
When you’re not working, how do you relax, have fun etc?
I am a relentless learner, with a passion for psychology, so when I am not doing family stuff, you will usually find me listening to or reading something/several things at once, usually with a psychology focus. Add in some dog walks and a bit of strength training and all is good!
