Monthly Job Club Social (drop-in)

ASM are happy to announce a new monthly social drop-in initiative for autistic adults who are currently looking for work – Monthly Job Club Social.

What is it? An open and safe virtual space for participants to check in with others and share job-searching experiences. This group is open to current, past and future ASM clients as well as non-ASM clients who are unemployed and looking for some peer support. The key aim is to reduce feelings of isolation and create opportunities for connection for participants.

Who is it for?

  • Autistic adults (18+) who reside in England or Wales.
  • Attendees must have a diagnosis of Autism or be actively seeking one.
  • Participants should be unemployed (if employed, this must be for less than 5 hours per week)
  • Those who would benefit from an informal, online environment to meet others and share job searching experiences.

How will it run? The group will be organised and facilitated by an ASM autism mentor, who will offer discussion prompts to support communication. It will be delivered on a drop-in basis. Meeting information will be sent out one week and 24 hours before each session. It will run on Zoom.

When? The group runs on the third Wednesday of the month between 4-5 pm.

Cost? Free of charge. Generously funded by Autism Forward. Participation is not compulsory every month, you are invited to join as and when it suits you on a drop-in/casual basis.
