Our mentors are experienced in supporting a wide range of people on the spectrum, and are familiar with the stress and anxiety which is often a part of day-to-day life for people with autism. We understand that it's not always easy to define the underlying problems - the topics mentioned above are rarely separated into neat and obvious categories - and we'll work with you to untangle your various issues, and to develop a range of coping strategies and positive perspectives for you to address them with.
Please note that this programme assumes a medium to long-term working relationship with your mentor: months, certainly, rather than weeks. Many of these issues are deeply-rooted and need to be resolved patiently, step by step. Addressing them is a process rather than event.
The first of these steps is to arrange an initial meeting with a member of our team to discuss how we might work together. Please use the link below to contact us.
"I can't begin to thank you enough for all the help and support in helping Seb (and myself as his Mum ) to understand how to live and find strategies to help with the difficulties he faces but also identifying the positives of his Aspergers traits. Thank you again and words can not express how much I appreciate all the extra help you have put into helping Seb recognise and make the best of his qualities. Your support has helped him move forward towards a better quality of life, for his future , helping him to gain more control of his life and his condition."
