When did you join ASM?
I joined in September 2024, and I am delighted to be here!

Tell us about your experience, lived and/or working.
I have been teaching and mentoring neurodivergent adults and young people for the past 18 years.  Alongside this I have developed my own projects to work with families and communities championing inclusion above integration.

What do you value most about your work?
Being part of organisations that believe in challenging the barriers created by negative assumptions and attitudes about difference.  Having the opportunity to empower individuals and educate their wider network is a great privilege.

What are your areas of interest or expertise?
My career has focussed on supporting autistic individuals to understand and celebrate themselves.  My experience has also enabled me to explore the broader scope of neurodivergence and how dual diagnoses can impact people in their lives and in their work.

When you’re not working, how do you relax, have fun etc?
I love to be with my family; my young son, husband, two furry cats and a rather naughty dog.  I like to practice yoga – in a hot room ideally! – and I feel most at peace next to the sea.  I have a background in music and drama and seek out live performance whenever I can.
